1. Collection and storage of personal data and the type and purpose of their use:

We store personal data such as name, first name, company name, email address and, if you make entries on the site, image data you enter, categories, your country, your language and, if you order, your address. This information can be provided voluntarily. However, the functionality of the website is only guaranteed if at least the following data is available:

c) Use of customer data for direct advertising

Registration for our email newsletter:

If you register for our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing further data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to send the newsletter, which ensures that you only receive the newsletter if you have expressly confirmed your consent to receive the newsletter by confirming a verification link sent to the specified email address.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR. We store your IP address entered by the Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data we collect when you register for the newsletter is used strictly for the intended purpose.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the person responsible mentioned above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter mailing list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data in any other way that is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this declaration.

2. Transfer of personal data

Your data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

We only pass on your data to third parties if:

– your request is about one of our services: avatar, hologram or video creation or the hardware for playing the holograms and avatars, then we will pass on your data (name, email address, telephone number and subject) to one of our partners who can then contact you.

In these cases, however, the scope of the data transmitted is limited to the minimum required.

Our data protection regulations are in line with the applicable data protection regulations and the data is only processed in the Federal Republic of Germany. Transfer to third countries takes place via the third-party providers listed below.

Data transfer to third parties

The Golden Records Project uses the services of contract processors and/or resellers. These are contractually bound and subject to our instructions if they are contract processors. The following contract data processors or third-party providers are used:

– Paypal (- payment processing)
– Calendly (in the USA; tool for making appointments online)

You have the option of preventing actions you perform here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.

We assume no liability for the data security and data protection of our partners to whom, as mentioned above, we pass on potential customers for the implementation and processing of the avatars, holograms and videos business area and who become direct contractual partners of the respective customer.

Security measures

We implement and maintain a series of technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data of the users of the communication platform in accordance with the legal requirements. These measures are taken in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of their implementation and the nature, scope, circumstances and purposes of the processing as well as the different probability of occurrence and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons. These measures are intended to ensure a level of protection for the personal data of the communication platform users that is appropriate to the risk.

Our communication service is provided in a data center in Germany. Users’ communication data remains within the legal area of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. Data protection for online payment methods:

When processing orders, you have the option of choosing from various payment methods.

To process the payment process, personal data such as name, address, email addresses, payment information, invoice amount that you provided during the ordering process can be transmitted to the provider of the payment method of your choice. The providers may further process and pass on your data to third parties for the following purposes:

Checking your identity before a payment can be approved; depending on the payment method selected, the payment provider may also carry out a credit check. In addition, the address data and online identifiers you provide and the IP address used can be processed in order to prevent potentially illegal activities such as fraud and money laundering.
