This area is a dynamic mosaic of global projects and people.
About every ¼ second, a new “project” is randomly loaded into one of the 100 continuously changing fields.
If this page would have 1 Mio entries (which it doesn't have right now, but only if) and always 100 randomly chosen entries are displayed at the start, there are 10.000 page views needed to show one entry in minimum one time.
Every ¼ second a new entry is loaded in a new field, so lets say a visitor stays in average for lets say 25 sec so 100 new entries are loaded during his visit. So that means there are only 100 visitors are needed staying for 25 seconds to show one entry one time for minimum 1 second.
So well, 1 seconds costs 1 Cent and an entry costs in total like written below 16,33 € (1.633 Cent) so there would be 1633 x 100 = 163.300 visitors needed that you pay really 1 Cent per 1 second displayed.
This sounds hight but it's only if the project would habe really 1 Mio visitors and keep in mind, to have 1 Mio entries there should be definetivly 1 Mio visitors.
Let's see it for when i have 100.000 entries: Based on the calculation above: 16.330 visitors are needed in total.This page will run "forever", also here a szenario:
If it would run only 1 year and has 100.000 entries: There are only 45 visitors a day needed
and if it runs for 5 years there are only 9 visitors a day needed. But as i mentioned: It is ment to run forever.
Also the price per second is covered or limited. It's only if 16,33 € are reached for 3 entries each, so in total 49 €.

Its main aim is to introduce the projects to a new worldwide audience and thus make them better known directly.

The name is derived from a NASA project in 1977. The 2 Voyager space probes transported a golden record (including playback instructions) into space, which has since been flying (ever further) into the infinite expanses of space. This record contains a documentation of humanity (pictures of people and, for example, important musical works) for possible extraterrestrial civilizations, if they exist.
The Golden Record Project is also a documentation of humanity and its projects in the current century: That is why anyone can register here, either individually or with their project and company, for just a one-off fee of €49.
